The Quran is a precious and incomparable book. Every Verse of the Quran has great significance for every Muslim in the world. Surah Fatiha contains seven verses. Surah Al Fatiha is the keystone of the prayer and we get to recite it seventeen times a day but only some of us actually know what are the importance and benefits of Surah Fatiha. Surah Fatiha English Transliteration

  • Ayah 1: In the name of ALLAH the most beneficent and most merciful.
  • Ayah 2: (All) Praise is (due) to ALLAH, Lord of the worlds.
  • Ayah 3: The Entirely Merciful, the Most Merciful
  • Ayah 4: King of the Day of Judgement
  • Ayah 5: We worship Him (Allah) and We ask for help
  • Ayah 6: Guide us to the Right (straight) path
  • Ayah 7: The path of those whom you have bestowed his wrath, nor those who have gone astray.

Greatest Surah in Al-Quran

Saydina Abu Saeed Molly narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to us: "Before leaving the mosque, I will tell you a surah that has not been revealed in the Torat and the Injeel. And in the Qur'an another surah: then the Prophet (PBUH) asked what do you recite when you start the prayer? He said "(All) Praise is (due) to ALLAH, Lord of the worlds' '. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "This is that Surah. (Muta Imam Malik: 182) Another Hadith: Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "By the One in Whose hand is my life! Allah has not created anything like this Surah. No Surah was like this in Torat, not in the Gospel (Injeel), not in the Psalms and not in the Furqan (Quran) and indeed it is the Sabul Mathani'' (Tirmidhi: 2875)

Light of Quran

Saydina Abdullah Bin Abbas Bani Nachha narrates, One day Jibraeel Fland was sitting near the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), they heard the sound of the door opening loudly from above him, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) raised his head and said: "Today the gate of heaven has opened, which was never opened before, and an angel has descended from it. Then he said: "This angel has descended to earth through this gate, it has never descended before today. This angel greeted Salam and said: Be glad of the two lights that have been given to you, they have not been given to any prophet before you, one of them is Surah al-Fatiha and the other light is Surah al-Baqarah last two verses. Whenever you recite any letter from these two, you will be granted what you asked for. (Muslim: 806)

Obligatory in Salah

It is narrated by Sayyid Naa Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: He who does not recite Surah Al-Fatiha in prayer, his prayer has not been completed, rather his prayer has been incomplete. (Muslim: 395)

Connection with Allah Almighty

Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) said that I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying to us: "The prayer has been divided between me and my servant."And what my servant asks is fulfilled. When a person says Al-Hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Aalameen , Lord of the Worlds, Allah Almighty says: My servant has praised Me. And when the worshiper says"Al-Rahman-i-Al-Raheem'' then Allah Almighty says: "My servant described Me." And when the worshiper says Maalik-e-Yum-id-Din then Allah Almighty says, My servant has described My greatness and also says that My servant has entrusted all his affairs to Me. And when the worshiper recites Iyyaka na'budu wa Iyyaka nastaeen, then Allah Almighty says: This is a matter between me and my servant. Then when the worshiper recites in his prayer ``Ahdina Sirat al-Mustaqeem, Sirat al-Dhinin' anamta alaihim, Ghairi al-Maghoob alaihim, wa la dhaleen, Allah Almighty answer that all this is for this servant of mine and whatever he asks for will be given to him. (Muslim : 395)

All Sins will be Forgiven

It is narrated by Sayyidna Abu Huraira (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: When the Imam says Ameen (after Surah Fatiha) you should also say Ameen because the one whose Ameen is joined with the Ameen of Angles, all his past sins will be forgiven. (Bukhari: 780)

It is necessary to recite this surah in order to remain free from fear of enemies. Allah, the world's greatest protector, protects the readers of this surah. Recite this chapter regularly and get rid of all kinds of fears. It also protects us from the fears of the Enemy, evil eyes & jealousy. This also protects our heart from evil objects.
